Homeschool

Though I adore Charlotte Mason and love to read her books, I would not say we have a true Charlotte Mason homeschool.

I like to say we have a literature-focused homeschool.

I read aloud all of our history, science, theology, and Bible. This only takes us about 30 minutes a day, so I read another 30 minutes of our current read-aloud which is usually a classic, a nonfiction relating to our history, or a deep dive into a science topic.

My children each have their own math and language arts programs. They are also expected to work through a literature curriculum but I don’t usually assign the workbooks that accompany the books, we just discuss what they read.
